The 1762-OB8 MicroLogix 8-Point Digital DC Output Module is a solid-state expansion output module in the Allen Brad-ley MicroLogix 1200 Expansion I/O modules series, which provides extra 8-point expansion outputs for the MicroLogix 1200 controller.

The module, like all modules in MicroLogix series, is designed for Class 2, Division 2 rated hazardous industrial environments, and it features software-based keying to prevent incorrect positioning, finger-safe terminal blocks, and a small electronic footprint due to it modular and compact design.

The 1762-OB8 has 8 digital 24 Volts DC sourcing outputs with a 20.4 Volts DC to 26.4 Volts DC operating voltage range, and it draws a 115 mA backplane current at 5 Volts DC. It has a maximum signal delay time of 0.1 milliseconds in the ON-state, and of 1.0 milliseconds in the OFF-state at a resistive load, and it has 1.0 Volts DC maximum ON-state voltage.

 

It has a maximum ON/OFF state leakage current of 1.0 mA, and it has a 0.5A maximum current load on each point, with an aggregate 4A per module. It has a 2A intermittent current surge, which lasts for a period of 10ms, and which is repeatable every 2 seconds, and it has a maximum power supply distance of 6 module lengths.

The 1762-OB8 has voltage isolation between outputs that is known as the group to backplane isolation, tested at 1200 Volts AC or 1697 Volts DC for 1 second, and it has an operational power dissipation of 1.6 Watts.
